About clearbluesky

You talk. Sky handles the next steps.

From the founder

Hi — I'm Jeff Scholen, the founder of clearbluesky.

I'm a software engineer in Georgia. I've spent my career building the reliable, behind-the-scenes systems that businesses run on — in small-business lending, healthcare, hospitality staffing, and customer-experience software. I didn't start out in tech, either: I changed careers into it, so I know firsthand what it's like to juggle a full life while trying to build the next chapter of it.

Over the last few years I watched AI assistants completely change how people like me work. Engineers now have tireless helpers that remember everything, do the tedious parts, and hand back finished work. And the more I used them, the more one thing bothered me: the people who could use that kind of help the most have the least access to it.

The work those helpers took off my plate wasn't the important work. It was the drafting, the comparing, the chasing — the three things that quietly eat a week. Everyone else is still doing all three by hand.

Not executives with a staff. Not engineers with the latest tools. The people carrying the real load — parents keeping a family running, caregivers looking after aging parents, people holding down a job or a business while managing a household, appointments, school forms, bills, and everything else that lands on them in a week. The mental load is enormous, it's invisible, and until now the only fix was "get more organized," which just means more work.

I built clearbluesky to change that. Sky — the assistant at the heart of it — is the kind of help that used to be reserved for corner offices, made simple enough for anyone. There's nothing to learn and no jargon to decode: you talk to Sky in plain words, like texting a friend, and it remembers, researches, drafts, fills things out, and follows up so the load actually gets lighter.

That's the whole idea: everyone deserves a patch of blue sky. I hope Sky clears some for you.

— Jeff
